I was caught up in planning dinner and finishing some chores. My 7 year-old came upstairs and asked me to fold and staple some paper. She headed downstairs, then returned a short while later with this present for her brother’s 5th birthday. I started to read it and my heart grew two sizes larger.
Ezra came home before she could finish, so she secretly added the last few later before we opened presents. I think that’s why there’s a bonus “Ezra is special.” She’s also been secretly making Christmas gifts and wrapping them in cereal boxes over the last week. Mine has something to help me remember my Dad.

I love that she came up with this idea and executed it all on her own. I think this would be such a great project to initiate for a family night, siblings who are struggling to get along, or as a birthday gift for a friend. It uses simple materials you have at home and can be easily completed in one sitting.

This is so adorable. I kept my nephews drawings from when they were little, I would love to give them back when they become adults and parents themselves. This was a great post, thank you for sharing!
