How to Remove Strawberry Stems the Eco-Friendly Way in 5 Easy Steps!

Step 2: Grab a strawberry.
Step 3: Push the glass straw through the bottom of the strawberry.
Step 4: Push the straw up to pop off the stem.
Step 5: Enjoy!
Wow! Do you ever miss the stem, though? I feel like I’d have trouble sticking it in the exact right spot :\
Hi Carolyn! Actually, I wondered the same thing when I saw the demonstrations with the flimsy, disposable straws. Precision is not a must here. You just push up and the straw is wide enough to pop off the top. 🙂
Great hack! It does seem like more of the strawberry is wasted when you cut it off! Thanks for sharing!
Good idea butbi thibk you save more berry by trimming the stem with a pairing knife.
It takes so much more time. In my experience, lots more berry wasted. This barely touches the berry.
This looks like a good idea, I wonder how much you miss, but I would give it a go.
