I’ve created The Cloth Diaper Trial Directory to help families interested in cloth diapers find the available cloth diaper trials all in one place to compare and contrast options. For a small rental fee or simply a deposit, families can try different styles and brands of diapers before making an investment.

How Do I Wash Cloth Diapers?
The best answer is “follow your diaper manufacturers directions.” Honestly, I would always start there. These directions usually entail “Cold or Warm Rinse, Hot Rinse with cloth diaper safe detergent, Cold Rinse.” The most important things is to look for things you shouldn’t use like detergents with additives or bleach that might void warranties.
That being said, different water types and machines can affect a wash routine. Here are a few tips from my experience:
Keep it Simple – Try the simplest route first before adding complications to your routine.
Try Eco Sprout Soap – My go-to detergent for quite some time now, Eco Sprout has endured different types of water, different brands of diapers, and a new style of washing machine. The company also offers terrific customer service!
Consider this Routine if You Have an HE Washer – HE washers need to be “tricked” a bit to agitate cloth diapers fully.
