During our regular morning call on Mom’s way to work, she said to me, “I want Christmas pictures. Not diapers.” So, here’s a post to satisfy Grandma’s need for pictures of the Grandkids!
Our Christmas Eve was a quiet time at home. Dad worked and Mom tried to make a soup that Dad requested Unfortunately, the soup didn’t turn out and dinner was a bit of a fiasco. Dad was, of course, great about it. We sang carols together and read the Nativity Story together while the kids played with the Little People Nativity. Ella was very excited that Santa was -finally- coming and we weren’t sure she’d go to sleep. She did a great job, though!
Christmas morning, Ezra woke up bright and early, but Ella just kept sleeping in. Mom and Dad got up, started doing dishes and making orange rolls for breakfast. We figured all of the banging around in the kitchen would wake Ella up, but she just kept sleeping. Dad was just about ready to go wake her up, when she appeared at the top of the stairs. We asked if she wanted to open gifts or have breakfast first and she chose breakfast!
Opening gifts with two little ones was so delightful because there wasn’t any rush. They wanted to open, then play with each toy. For Ella, it was a bit like getting double the presents because she helped Ezra open his as well. Our family had a lovely Christmas, despite Ezra’s trip to the ER for pneumonia, and we’re excited for the upcoming New Year’s celebration with friends!

Thank you, very very much, Grandma does love to see the pictures so she can keep up with what she missed.
I laughed when I saw what Mom had said. Since you’d said you’d post Christmas pictures Sunday or Monday When I hopped on Monday I was surprised to read a diaper review. I wanted to see Christmas pictures. It looks like you had a a pretty good Christmas overall. Glad Ezra’s feeling better.
