Knickernappies Cloth Diaper Review

I apologize that my blog has been lean on personal posts this week. Allergies are hitting me hard and things have been a bit crazy. I promise to get back to more consistent blogging next week.

Yesterday, I shared how I won a one-size Knickernappies pocket cloth diaper by participating in a twitter party. The Nappy Shoppe is a proud Knickernappies retailer and Sharni, owner of the shop, graciously gave away a $25 gift certificate. It only seemed appropriate to spend it on a Knickernappies diaper and I am so glad that I did!
In Part I of the Knickernappies review and giveaway, I talked about my overall review of the diaper and it’s day time use. Today, I am going to share a bit about The Nappy Shoppe, as well as talk about  my experiences with the Knickernappies one-size pocket diaper and The Loopy Do insert as a night-time solution.

I spoke to Sharni about my need for a night-time solution and she told me that this Knickernappies is one of  her family’s favorite night-time diapers. I crossed my fingers that it would live up to the hype because I haven’t had much success with pockets (even heavily stuffed) for my heavy-wetter at night.
Poor Ezra has experienced some rough nights testing diapers, so I’ve learned from experience to do nap time trial first. If a diaper is soaking wet post-nap, then it simply won’t work for him at night. After our first nap time run with both the large and small Loopy-Do inserts (both included in the $24.95 diaper) stuffed inside, the Knickernappies diaper worked like a dream and he didn’t wake up soaked.
With this success, I did a night-time trial and said a little prayer. I am thrilled to say that it worked wonderfully at night and I want to purchase more Knickernappies for future babies just for this reason. I love fitteds because they’ve kept us in cloth at night, but a pocket solution is much more babysitter friendly and simpler to use. My husband is a cloth diaper trooper because of the money savings, but I know he would prefer to put a pocket diaper on our son at  night.

  87. I’d love to try an Otter Blotters and I also wonder how well g flappers work. We had major leak issues with the g system because DS was such a heavy wetter. Natural fiber inserts might work better than the disposables.
