I love the idea of wearing a pattern you might not see on anyone else in my city or even state. The idea of claiming a pattern as my unique statement is one of the reasons LuLaRoe clothing appeals to me. This made in the USA fashion line produces only 1000 pieces of a particular print, bringing “limited edition” to affordable, mainstream fashion. So, I was definitely excited to write a review of the LuLaRoe Ana Dress.Brooke Wood invited me to try an item from her LuLaRoe VIP Boutique that would suit my style and I quickly gravitated toward the dresses. I think the value of a well-made, comfortable dress is often underestimated. You can wear the same dress casually on a Tuesday that you dress up for a Friday night date by mixing up your accessories and shoes. This makes for a very versatile, go-to piece.
You can currently find the Ana Dress in Brooke’s LuLaRoe Boutique, a long Maxi style dress with a fitted top, 3/4 length sleeves, and a flowing skirt. I’ll admit to having reservations about this style at first because I feared it would accent my ever-troublesome tummy. I’m rarely one to shy from a fashion challenge, though, so I found my size and selected a bold, daring print. If you’re going to go for it, why go halfway, right?
When my Ana Dress arrived, the length pleasantly surprised me. Maxi dresses are generally a problem for my 5’4″ frame. It seems that clothes are not manufactured with my waist to hips to height ratio in mind. This dress actually skims the tops of my feet, allowing me to comfortably wear flats. While I would traditionally prefer an empire waist, the waist line on the Ana is flattering as well. Here’s what I like about the Ana Dress:
- Length would work well for different heights.
- Fabric is soft, breathable, and comfortable.
- True to size and not too form fitting in the bodice.
- Pattern colors and dimensions look the same in person as online.
- The skirt swings a bit when you walk.
The dress is a bit of an investment at $55 (great price for made in the USA), but I’ve worn it weekly since it arrived with speedy shipping in the mail. I will admit to feeling a bit body-conscious in this dress, but I think that could be mediated with the addition of a belt. I’m also working on feeling good in the body I’m in and I feel great in this pattern. I especially loved pairing it with a vintage hat and my “I am Sherlocked” necklace this past Sunday!
LuLaRoe is also known for their bold-patterned leggings and figure-flattering tops, and different length skirts. Their clothes also go from size 0 to 24. Be sure to join Brooke’s LuLaRoe page to see the styles and patterns unique to her Boutique!

I’ll be honest, I always love how these dresses look on other people but I’m always afraid to try bold prints and shapes on myself. I’m trying to incorporate more color and print into my wardrobe little by little. I think it looks amazing on you!

I love Lularoe, but I’ve never tried a dress. I am also working on loving the body I am in now and I’m a little intimidated to try new things. I love this print and it’s a great company to support. Maybe I’ll take the leap!

I’ve never tried LuLaRoe, but I keep seeing the brand pop up and after seeing this dress on you, I really want to try one of the dresses. And maybe some leggings. And a skirt….

Just FYI, 2500 of each pattern is made and it is NOT manufactured in the US – in fact it’s sewn in many poor countries!
