My kids are (finally!) getting old enough start to appreciate the benefits of this sibling thing. Ezra, my younger child, has displayed true devotion to his big sis for quite awhile, but now she’s starting to come on board. He’s 13 months now, so he can crawl after his 3 1/2 year-old sister, laugh outrageously at her silliness, and play the screaming game with her a the breakfast table.
Tim and I are both blessed with siblings and we always imagined our children having a brother or sister (or 2 or 3) to play with and experience life with.Yesterday afternoon, the kids were playing together exceptionally well and cracking me up. Ella goes into her “big sister” mode more often lately and decided that she needed to carry Ezra. This is what followed:
Two is Better than One
This is initial pick-up is pretty ambitious. He’s no lightweight.
I love how proud she is of herself.
It looks totally awkward, but he’s cracking up the whole time.
Next attempt: from the front.
Even more awkward – but pretty funny.
They don’t quite make it.
Final attempt – I love his expression! Crazy, but fun!
She’s actually got him lifted off the floor a bit here.
You really have to love your big sis to let her do this.
Did Ella get her haircut again, it looks shorter. Ezra looks lik he is having a good time. I love to see the joy in little kids faces when they are having a good time together.
Seeing your 2 adorable kiddos playing together is making my ovaries twitch! I only have one…
I’m Confessions of a First Time Mom’s blog designer and I read about your comment counting problems.
I get a lot of requests for numbering comments and there are a few tutorials on the web. If they don’t work or you feel like you don’t want to play around with the HTML, let me know 🙂
Adorable :]
My son is 8 and he picks up the baby [she is 13 months] all the time. It scares me though lol.
I love the static hair! My daughter and son get that every time they play together on the carpet!! :o)
Wow. That picture of him standing against the couch he looks just like Tim! That never really stuck out to me before. I love it when the kids play together nicely!
Elley picks up Molly all the time and she just screams. Looks like Ezra is a little more tolerable than Molly.
