I love to shop online. Just like in a brick and mortar store, I love to browse, “window shop,” buy, and dream. I thought it would be fun to start an occasional “weekend feature” where I share some of the shops with items I’m drooling over, saving for, putting on my gift wish lists, plan to pick up for the next baby shower, etc. I hope you’ll join me and we can do a little window shopping together and maybe pick up a few great finds along the way!
I came across a link to Maxwell Designs a little while back on twitter and decided to see what the company had to offer. When the link brought me to the Maxwell Designs messenger-style diaper bags, I was immediately drawn to the retro, bold, eye-catching fabrics. I am all about bags that you can sling across your chest or easily hang on a stroller. These gorgeous, Canadian made bags have enough room to stash everything your baby will need without looking like a “mommy bag.”
The best thing about these eco-friendly, dye-free, anti-bacterial bags? You can custom order one to fit your discerning tastes! I think I lean toward the striking orange and taupe.
The Maxwell Designs Blog just recently announced some new fabric choices and I’m also pretty crazy about that deep, chocolate brown with the Brown Midwest Modern fabric as an accent!
You can see all of the beautiful fabric choices available here.
Since that first visit, I’ve had the opportunity to chat via twitter and email a bit with Maggie, the owner of Maxwell Designs, as well as visit her blog. She is a terrific mom of three who knows what moms want in baby products. As a result, she’s created a terrific line of quality, eco-friendly products! In addition to bags, Maggie offers slings, clothing, sleep sacs, and changing pads, all made out of gorgeous fabrics. I especially appreciate that all of the sophisticated fabrics make these baby-friendly products that any woman would love to use!
I am in love with the sweet details of the Maxwell Designs onesies and I’m convinced that they would make a unique, thoughtful, affordable baby shower gift. Some of my faves:
Maggie’s Baby/Toddler Slings also intrigue me because she says they can be worn many different ways and can be used for birth to 2 years+. They are also adjustable, so they’re one size fits all, and machine washable (hooray!).
They currently come in dark grey and dark green, but wouldn’t it be cool if you could purchase a diaper bag, changing pad, and sling in coordinating fabrics? If you are interested in the Maxwell Design slings and think you’d be interested in winning one, head on over to Maggie’s blog and let her know! If she gets enough interest, she’ll run a giveaway!

I don’t need a bag like this anymore, but it looks very cool!
😉
I loved my diaper/mom bag, it was called “The Mothership.” How appropriate, no? But I wasn’t sad to be done with it…lol!
