So, a new trend making it’s way around facebook and blogs seems to be “ask me anything.” Some bloggers allow for anonymous questions and some of my bravest friends have uploaded an application people can fill out anonymously. I’ve been intrigued by the idea, but I also feel a bit of trepidation about having people ask anything. Frankly, I’m also afraid that I will post one of these, receive no questions, and be mortified.
You can see some fun examples of Ask Me Anything at A Blonde Walks into a Blog and Glamazon the Mormon Mom
But…today, the curious side of me is winning out. I’ve loved reading the fun, serious, bizarre, and thought-provoking questions, followed by their answers, on different blogs. So, today I’m taking the plunge and inviting you to ask me anything! If you’d like to join in and reciprocate on your blog, please leave me a link to your post and I’ll come by with my questions.
I’m also thinking it would be fun to ask my husband to do a guest post. Is there anything you’d like to have “The Inquisitive Dad” write about?
How did you decide it was time to have a second child, how was it having sleepless nights the second time around (this is my biggest worry, not having enough energy for the first kid if the 2nd one is sapping it), and etc. etc. anything you could expand on would be helpful. Feel free to stop by my blog ANY TIME and ask me, whatever. Unless for some reason I would find it immoral to talk about, I see no reason I wouldn’t respond to just about anything. Also, I HAVE asked several times for people to ask me things, what they might want to see on my blog and gotten nothing in return, which sucks. So here’s my attempt to set that right, for you! I would love any posts about how to deal with 2 kids at once, particularly in the newborn stages!
How do you make time just for you and your husband? How do you find a good balance between being a mom and a wife? We have a 5 month old daughter and sometimes I have a really hard time balancing it all. My entire day is devoted to her, so when she goes to bed at night, I really want time to myself. But I know that’s selfish because I should want to spend time with my husband as well.
And just for fun, is there one thing you’ve always wanted to do or a place you really want to go?
What do you miss MOST from high school?
And what do you miss LEAST?
Here goes my probing:
1) How on earth do you make your Friday date night babysitting swaps work? I can’t imagine dealing with multiple kids (belonging to other parents, no less!) who are hungry, tired, etc. from 6-10pm. Feel like sharing more details on how it flows? The idea of having regular date nights are so enticing but the logistics seem like they might be a nightmare!
2) What are some of your favorite things about being from Washington state?
3) How do you personally adjust/adapt when your religious views may contradict with current social views?
How are you and your sisters a like? What would you say is a “May Trait?” What one unique trait do you think makes each woman (including yourself) stand out as an individual? What is one thing each of your sisters has taught you?
