Recovery

I am on the mend after having unexpected surgery Monday night. I’d been in pain all weekend and the doctor found a very large cyst on Monday that was causing the problem. While they were removing the cyst via laparatomy, they discovered an issue with my appendix and removed that as well. So, I’ve been trying to recover all week and don’t have much endurance for sitting long periods at the computer.

I live away from my family, so I am grateful to have the most amazing friends. They have brought in meals and taken both of my kids while my husband has worked all week. I am so humbled and grateful. It’s lonely here by myself and I miss my kids desperately. I know it would be too much of a struggle for me to take care of them all day, but having them away has definitely made the time with them so sweet. In truth, I wish it was a tiny bit harder for my little 15 month-old to be away from me, but he’s pretty tired when he gets home and I’m glad he adjusts so well at other people’s houses.
