I came home from a meeting for the paper last night and found our little princess jumping from the toy box. She likes to take off her clothes at nap time and usually puts on a night gown. Recently, she rediscovered her dress-up clothes and I found her wearing her princess skirt and shoes yesterday sans shirt. I have learned not to stress over stuff like going shirtless at home for half the day, so that’s why she’s dressed this way in the photos.
Our little one is now thoroughly girly and enamored with all things princess. She’s also a bit cautious. Even though she could easily jump safely from the toy box, she decided she needed daddy’s pinky to jump. Eventually he would offer it to her and let go before she jumped, but she still insisted on it. I wish I’d captured some of dad’s expressions during all of this because watching them interact was priceless!
