Ella is currently obsessed with dresses (such a change from a year ago!) and so Grandma Cathy sent us some lovely ones in the mail. I thought Ella looked so sweet on Monday yesterday with her hair straightened, her sweet spring dress, new sandals, and fun happygreenbee cardigan. All I wanted was one opened-eyed, smiley photo, sans Dr. Suess cow, for Grandma. Here’s what I got:
(I even tried the reverse psychology of taking brother’s picture)
It had the opposite effect.
*sigh* Oh, well.

they are so adorable. smiles in pictures sometimes are overated. ๐
You tell Ella, Grandma thinks she is a silly. Love the pictures any way, even without a smile.
I can see how that Dr. Seuss cow would be irresistible ๐
What a doll! Isn’t it hard when they learn they have a mind of their own!? It’s fun though!
Awww. Aren’t they usually hams until you have the camera in your hand? ๐

Even without a smile, she’s still adorable! Kids are so fun about pictures, aren’t they? =)
I have the hardest time getting my kids to smile at the camera too! I usually just try to get in action shots so then I don’t have to worry about it. There’s always a time thought when I wish I could get a great one of BOTH of my kids smiling at the camera!
My daughter used to hide behind her stuffed animals when I brought out the camera!
