The other day, I mentioned on facebook and twitter that Ezra keeps trying to sit on Ella’s lap, much to her dismay. He clearly feels like the little brother and adores his big sis, but he’s actually not that much smaller. He started climbing up next to her on the couch, giving her “love,” and climbing into her lap again on Monday. It cracked me up, so I took some photos. She is not a fan of this and the camera is the only reason she allowed it (and even smiled and laughed a bit about it).
Ezra being “soft.”
She has reason to be cautious – this can quickly become a hair pull or a smack.
I am not above shamelessly posed pictures – look how he even takes out his paci for a kiss!
But, oh, man, she rejects him!
Now the lap sit.
It takes a bit of maneuvering.
I can do this!
Ta da! He’s more than half her size, but lovin’ it.
This was temporary, but sweet.
PS Yes, I do comb Ella’s hair, but she takes all baretts and rubber bands
out as soon as she gets home from preschool each day!

I love your kiddos, Mindy. I wish we could have a play date IRL (in real life). And my Abby would totally boss your kiddos around and you’d hate it. LOL!
