Kids Give 2 Enthusiastic Thumbs Up to EcoMom Organic Snacks – Review & Giveaway!

Receiving a package at our house is a big deal and, when the eco-friendly baby products from EcoMom sample box arrived at our door, it was no exception. I opened the package to take a peek inside and the kids were thrilled to see food inside. Our Plum Organics/Revolution Foods Sampler included squeezable fruit, mini PB & Js, and some Apple Carrot Fiddlesticks. The squeezable fruit intrigued me the most and I honestly thought “big mess potential.” Little did I know what a hit this pureed fruit would be at my house for both of my kids ages 3 1/2 and 18 months!

The Plum Organics version of the squeezable pureed fruit is called Tots Organic Mish Mash and Revolution Foods offers a similar snack called Organic Mash Ups. This pureed fruit is referred to as a “fruit snack,” which seems to be much more fitting than the artificially flavored bite-sized cartoon characters we are used to calling by the same name. The concept is simple: Pureed fruit in an easy-to hold and squeeze pouch with a resealable lid. They are not filled to the brim, so there’s room for little hands to figure out how to get it to their mouth, hold, and squeeze without spilling.
Both of my kids loved these treats and wanted to eat them up in one sitting. We were able to spread them out over a couple of days and use them on a long car ride. They were the perfect morning or afternoon snack and I loved how easy and handy they were for our trip. My picky kids who gobble up fruit one day and waste it the next eagerly asked for and consumed these delicious treats every time. They especially loved the Plum Organics Strawberry Banana and Peach flavors.
For around $20, you can get a 16 pack of these 100% organic treats with no added sugar, juice, colors or flavors. They are great for snacks and lunches and you can even freeze them.   1. Well, what a surprise. I went over to our friend Sarah F.’s blog right after writing a post about Plum Baby Organics pouches and found that somebody else was reviewing the same thing! I was shocked by this completely random coincidence. Naturally, couldn’t resist going over to your blog to read the post written by the intriguing “mystery woman,” and fellow Plum Baby commiserator. Yet again I was pleasantly surprised when I saw your picture and realized that I actually know you. I was your visiting teacher back in Everett. That was probably three years ago…a long time ago. Anyhow, it’s interesting how our lives flow in circles sometimes.

    I love your blog, and I’m excited to try out some more of the products you reviewed! Thanks for sharing your knowledge! I’ll be sure to check back in now and then.
