My daughter has never been crazy about getting her hair done – combed, brushed, washed, etc. Now that she’s a bit older and interested in nail polish and princesses, she’s a bit more receptive. We like to make things fun and call it “Beauty Shop” so she’s more engaged. We’ve also learned that a simple ribbon tied in her hair is a better solution than clips, barrets, and rubber band, which pull and hurt after a few hours.
Our girl has the most extraordinary hair – it is a completely unique texture all its own. Baby soft, not curly and not quite straight, it is full of body. Her hair didn’t really start to grow much until she turned one and it still isn’t in any rush to grow at the age of 4. She’s had hair cuts along the way and we’re now just keeping it trimmed so it can grow healthy. We love the character her hair gives her and we wouldn’t have it any other way!
I gave her an evening bath the other night and waited to straighten her hair until morning. It started out like this:

Fantastic! I’m actually on the hunt for a new straightener now that the weather is a little less humid (it’s pointless to straighten my hair in the summer) and this one sounds great!
She looks adorable as usual!
She is GIVING it in that first picture! You can tell she loves it!
