For the past 3 years I’ve meant to do it, but the last time I sent a Christmas card was Ella’s first year. She’s now 4. Each year I receive treasured cards from friends and family. I love seeing pictures of new additions to families and the joyous smiles of friends I miss linked with messages of holiday cheer. This year, I am determined to send out Christmas cards. No excuses.
I’ve had great experiences uploading to Shutterfly and ordering prints and cards in the past, so I’ve decided to send one of their Christmas photo cards this year. This will require two things. First, figuring out what picture/s to use. I’d settle for one family photo where everyone is at least facing the camera (unlike our summer fiasco photos), but I think I might just decrease the stress and opt for a card that will allow me to include several photos featuring the best of the family.
The next challenge will be to select from the wide selection of holiday cards Shutterfly offers. I tend to like something contemporary or mod that allows for several photos and has a Christmas message. The concept of this family letter card appeals to me, although I’m not crazy about the blue. I also like this year in review card that lets the pictures steal the show. I am leaning toward something that will let me feature some fun close ups, like these:
Once I decide, I am excited that Shutterfly offers the options to have the cards stamped and mailed for their customers. Talk about a time saver. Plus, you don’t have to pay for cards to be shipped to you, then pay to send them out again. I definitely have no excuses this year.

Those 3 are all amazing! And I saw the Shutterfly commercial where they talked about addressing everything for you. Amazing and probably worth it for moms like us, huh?!!?
every year I say I am going to do this through shutterfly and every year I wait until it’s too late. My husband is a photographer and he usually prints out the pictures last minute to get them out to everyone… Maybe, just maybe, this year I can do them through Shutterfly and get them mailed too… well, at least to fmaily that doesn’t see the kids as often as I would like… Patty
