Have you ever selected an outfit for your baby because the outer fabric felt so soft that you couldn’t wait to put it against your little one’s delicate skin, only to open it and discover that the inner fabric was scratchy and stiff? Unlike many traditional fabrics used in baby’s clothes, bamboo is ideal for baby’s skin because it absorbs 3 to 4 times better than cotton. This means that bamboo clothes are great year-round because they keep skin comfortable and cool in hot weather and help baby stay warmer in cold temperatures. In addition to being thermal regulating, bamboo clothing is anti-static, odor resistant, and has natural UV protection.

I selected a medium set for Kai, hoping it would fit his long, lean frame. The outfit is loose, but comfortable, and the elastic waistband pants provide a great, flexible fit over cloth diapers. I wouldn’t normally pick the natural bamboo color for baby clothing, but I liked the look of it once I put it on Kai. I also appreciated how the bamboo clothing didn’t require any special changes to my normal washing routine of cold water wash and medium dry cycle.
