A diaper sprayer falls into the “necessity” category for some and the “cool to have” category for others. My family falls more into the first, although we have dunked and squeezed many diapers and lived to tell the tale. I prefer using a diaper sprayer, simply because it helps thoroughly remove solids and has less of an “ick” factor than the simple dunk method. That being said, diaper sprayers can sometimes be messy. You can even close the trap over the rinsed diaper, wring out excess water, and unclip the diaper into your wet bag without touching it. Now, if the you can unclip the insert of a pocket diaper and drop it into the wet bag without touching it, the Spray Pal virtually eliminates any contact with the soiled diaper!
