I have a new favorite diaper topping my stash. In fact, every time I’ve gone to take a photo of my little guy wearing his new Funky Fluff, I realize it’s in the wash because I grabbed it immediately from the lash load the moment it was dry. This thoughtfully designed diaper was clearly created by someone who wanted to combine the best features of their favorite diapers into one affordable option.
What do I like so much about my Funky Fluff Diaper from the Joyful Giraffe? One word: Versatility. Funky Fluff diapers offer a unique Fusion Stay Dry 3-in-1 Stay Dry System, allowing families to try three diaper styles by purchasing just one diaper. Funky Fluff Diapers function as an ‘All-in-One,” “All-in-Two,” and pocket diaper. This means it can be adapted to the preference of the caregiver or switched up to meet a baby’s changing needs as she grows. Funky Fluff is also an excellent introduction to cloth diapers option, helping someone understand their cloth options through just one under $20 purchase!
How do your Funky Fluff options work?

| Pocket Option |
Use it as a traditional pocket and enjoy the benefits of wide pocket openings on both the top and bottom, making the diaper easy to stuff. You can also snap the soaker in after stuffing and keep it together with the diaper in the wash. Alternatively, leave it unsnapped and it will agitate out on its own, eliminating the need to touch soiled inserts..
Additionally, the diaper provides a slim one-size fit with 4 settings, creating a comfortable fit for babies 7 to 35 lbs. I especially love how the diaper is wide enough at the top for Dads to easily stuff, but provides an amazingly trim fit through the middle.
This is my least favorite of the 3 options, simply because I like the simplicity of the other two and prefer not to stuff pockets.

| All-in-Two Option |
Use the diaper as an All-in-Two by laying the soaker on top of the diaper and snapping it in. I appreciate how the snap keeps the soaker together with the diaper in the wash, so there’s no searching for inserts on wash day. I’ve used the diaper this way on m any occasions and like the convenience, especially when using cloth diapers outside of the home. The diaper works well as an AI2 for nap time using the heavy duty soaker and no additional inserts have been necessary, even with our heavy wetter.
Extra Inserts = Money Savings
Using the diaper this way also means you can remove a soiled insert and reuse the cover multiple times. Additional soaker sets of 3 range from $8 to $13.50 and each diaper comes with one light soaker and one heavy duty.
Snaps Never Touch Baby’s Skin
Funky Fluff diapers utilize a clever placements of snaps that ensure baby’s comfort. The top inner tab covers all of the snaps, so you never see those irritating marks from snaps and the back opening lays over the optional back snap as well. Just another feature that tells me this diaper was designed by someone invested in the right details.

The third option, the All-in-One, quickly became my favorite choice. I love how you can simply snap the soaker inside and your Funky Fluff becomes a fuss-free diaper, perfect for babysitters, daycare, and quick trips out where you only need a single diaper change. It’s easy to adjust the absorbency by switching out the soaker.
Plus, if you already have the diaper prepped as an AIO, but need more absorbency, you can simply keep it stuffed and lay an additional soaker over the top. I found this made for a surprisingly trim fit when baby needed more than one insert could provide.
Additional Funky Fluff features that put this diaper at the top of my stash:
* Double Gussets to prevent leaks. I love gussets and think an AIO option with gussets makes for the ideal intro gift to cloth diapering.
* Crossover snaps for a trim newborn fit and a wrap and snap fit for soiled diapers. This feature rocks when you’re out and about and want to wrap a diaper up tight before stuffing it into your wet bag.
* Independent waist and leg adjustments, plus hip snaps, for a snug fit with snaps.

Overall, we’ve been very pleased with our Funky Fluff fusion Stay Dry Diaper, courtesy of The Joyful Giraffe. Funky Fluff Diapers also come in a Bamboo version and I love the idea of trying natural fibers for an AI2 against my baby’s sensitive skin.The color selection is also limited, but I adore the contrasting snaps and the Bubbles we tested is a great gender-neutral print.
