Monday morning, I’m using my cell phone as usual. My Android phone is my quick access to the online world and the way I connect on the fly. I spell check as I go, but I also depend on the word predictor and my quick fingers to come through for me. Since I’m often texting and posting on facebook in between playing with my toddler, pouring drinks, getting shoes on kids, and a myriad of other tasks, I don’t always have time to double check before I post.
When my phone began giving me unexpected grief on Monday, I was flummoxed, but busy.
Why wouldn’t the keyboard predict words for me?
Why did I keep hitting “q” when I aimed for “a”?
Why did “Hi How are you look like this?”
Instead of this?
It went like this all day, until the keyboard started offering me vowels with accents. Then I – finally! – paused for a moment to really question things. That’s when I noticed this important detail:
I enjoyed a great laugh after this discovery, especially after realizing that this guy most likely got his hands on my phone and played a totally awesome accidental April Fools joke!

That is so cute. They can do so much damage so quick! My little guy erased my calendar and I didn’t have it backed up ANYWHERE. Ugh….
So cute! Glad you figured out what the problem was! 🙂
Too funny! Kids are so cute, even when they don’t mean to be!
That’s hilarious. I don’t know how long it would have taken me to figure it out, but it would have been a long time and probably would have taken the help of my teenager!
My phone did that to me without me knowing! It was set on Spanish. I was wondering why I had to add every word to the dictionary!
