The Little Bee Co. Cloth Diapers – One for You and One for a Child in Need – Review

I am not sure when I’ve been this excited about a diaper print. If you’d told me before I received my Little Bee Co cloth diaper that I’d go crazy over a cow print, I would have said you were the crazy one. But here I am, peeking in the laundry basket for our Little Bee cloth diaper (because it never makes it to the storage draws before I snatch it up) and frowning when I realize it’s dirty.

Fit: We all know that a great print like Moo Rockin’ Cow can only take a diaper so far, though. For me to keep grabbing a diaper from my eclectic stash, it needs to have fashion and function. The Bee Changed Pocket provides a consistent, comfortable, leak-free fit on my trim 2 year-old every time we use it. We place the snaps on the second setting and the diaper wraps around him without the gaps we sometimes find at the top of pockets. The wrap and go feature also makes it clear that this diaper could fit from birth to potty training.

Front Elastic: I think the elastic in the Be Changed Pocket makes it stands apart from other pocket styles. The unique leak guard front elastic really aids in finding that all-around snug fit. For me, it is visually helpful when stretching the top and I’m confident that the diaper has no gaps or isn’t too tight across the top. I’m also a fan of the leg elastic, even without my preferred double gussets. I also appreciate how the diaper has a wide opening for stuffing, but the elastic allows for a bulk-free fit. As you can see in the pictures, the Be Changed fits my very slim guy so well, with room to grow.

Coolplus: Little Bee pocket diapers also offer the option of the Coolplus fabric, meant to keep baby comfortable between diaper changes. Coolplus is an incrediably “cool” fiber (poly/nylon blend} that boasts “intense wicking properties, quick water diffision rate, speedy drying time, and excellent air permeability.” We found this fabric to keep its promises and baby’s skin was never irritated while using this blend.

Inserts: The Little Bee comes with 2 microfiber inserts, one newborn and one one-size. If you like, you can snap the two together for extra absorbency. These are fairly standard microfiber inserts, but they work well and we had no leaks or smell issues sometimes mentioned with microfiber.
