I love recipes that are easy to adapt and fun for kids! Yesterday, I grabbed some Christmas tree pretzels at my daughter’s request and we enjoyed pretzel dipping this morning. There are two yummy versions of this. I prefer the pretzel rods rolled in caramel apple wraps (so pretty!), but my kids like the little dipped pretzels. These make a delicious treat and fun gift! Both “recipes” are below.
Ingredients:
1 Bag Pretzel Rods
Chocolate Chips, melted. (We used Andes mint chocolate chips. You can use any type. Just make sure they are high quality that will melt well).
Crushed Candy Canes
Caramel Apple Wraps
Sprinkles
Directions
Cut caramel apple wraps into strips.
Melt chocolate chips in the microwave, melting in short 30 second intervals and stirring in between.
Crush candy canes.
Wrap the caramel strips around the pretzel, about 3/4 of the way, leaving a place to hold the pretzel rod.
Dip the rod into the melted chocolate, ending where the caramel wraps end.
Top pretzel with candy cane or sprinkles.
Let set and enjoy.

covering them in caramel and THEN chocolate

genius!
Every time I attempt chocolate dipping I always make a huge mess. I think I have to try this though because it looks so good!
Yum! I can’t wait to try this recipe for the holidays maybe we’ll do a test run so I don’t have to wait so long.
My son would have so much fun doing these with me.
My kids would love making these!
