If your kids are like mine, they quickly recognize the difference between training pants, padded underwear, and “big kid” underwear. Once they come through the initial stages of the potty training
process, they want to graduate to the real thing. This is good because it means they are ready to leave diapers behind
for good, but sometimes bad because they might continue to struggle with leaks. Oops! Underwear are the perfect solution for your newly potty trained child who is ready to graduate to underwear. They are made of soft bamboo, with a layer of PUL to create a waterproof barrier for light leaks. While waterproof, they don’t contain the padding or leg elastic, so they are not meant to contain full flow urine. If your little one is like mine – potty trained, but prone to wait too long, go a little, then make it to the potty, then these are a great choice for you. Rather than require you to go through multiple pairs of underwear and pants, you can simply change out the Oops! Underwear and reuse the unsoiled pants. Favorite Features of Oops! Underwear – They look and feel like “real underwear.” – They are snug and comfortable and true to size, without some of the odd fit issues we’ve experienced with traditional toddler undewear. – They are discreet, making them perfect for an older child who experiences light leaking
throughout the day. – The snug fit means they can be layered with a pair of fun patterned underwear for a potty learning child and provide a bit more protection and piece of mind for your furniture while they are learning. – They fit well under or over a pair of training underwear for a child who is still navigating potty learning at naps and bedtime. With this extra layer of protection, kids can be more comfortable at night without using a diaper like product or disposable training pants. – The white fabric makes them gender neutral and a great choice for an older child. Features We’d Love to See – While we appreciated the gender neutral aspect of Oops! Underwear, the plain white fabric did not appeal to our toddler. He was reluctant to wear the Oops! Undies alone, but mainly because he wanted to wear vibrant colors and patterns. – While the snug fit definitely worked well for activity (they weren’t sliding down like the size 2/3 versions from the underwear section of our local store), they could be a bit tricky for a toddler to pull down in a rush. Overall, we had a positive experience with Oops! Underwear and would recommend them for potty trained children and older children who experience some incontinence. Thank you to Oops!
