Our Enchanted Forest Organic Cotton Baby Blanket from Öko Creations makes the perfect back drop for photos. The whimsical design has a sweet, classic feel, without leaning on traditional “baby” pastels or animal caricatures. If I were to choose nursery decor, I would love to base it off of this design. The blanket also comes in two other fun, colorful designs; elephants and elk.

The 40 x 42 inches GOTS certified organic cotton blanket is also incredibly cozy. It is a soft, lightweight material with a bit of stretch to it. The size works well for swaddling, but the stretch can provide a bit of a challenge if your baby is wiggly. This is definitely the style of blanket you want to wrap around your newborn or lie on the ground for tummy time. The light material also works well for different seasons; in the winter over cozy footed pajamas and, in the summer, when you want baby to be swaddled, but not overheated.
In addition to sending the beautiful blanket for baby, Öko Creations also treated me to a set up make-up removal pads. These affordable hemp and organic cotton pads come in sets of 8. They are soft and absorbent, effectively removing daily make-up, including waterproof mascara. I definitely preferred them over wash rags (which I often find uncomfortable on the eyes and face) or disposable alternatives (my previous go-to option). The set of 8 is perfect to get you through the week, with one extra to carry you through on wash day. I also found these little wipes to be ideal for keeping in the diaper bag to wipe baby’s eyes or clean messy toddler faces.

These products are lovingly made in Canada, handcrafted in the Öko Creations workshop, along with breast pads, reusable feminine hygiene products, bath items, baby care, and more.

Öko Creations is a family business started by two sisters who value manufacturing and creating environmentally friendly textiles and products for the whole family. They provides a flexible work schedule to meet the needs of local employees and distribute their products to over 50 retailers in Canada.
I was especially impressed when I read about Oko Creations’ commitment to reducing the eco-impact of every stage of production. When consumers purchase Öko Creations products, they are purchasing reusable, durable products made from eco-conscious materials in a shop that provides fair wages to employees. They utilize eco-friendly shipping materials, recycle when possible, and recuperate textile scraps. I’m also impressed that, considering that organic materials are used in a North American workshop, Öko Creations are competitively priced with similar companies.
Öko Creations is going to be a sponsor at The 4th Time Around Event, beginning November 17th! I’d love it if you would go like the Oko Creations Facebook page, in anticipation of the big event!

At first I assumed the round pads were milk pads but then realized they are make up removers, however, what a great idea for reusing the piles of pads I have in my drawer.
I really like their blankets nad other products. Looking forward to the event!
I am thinking of purchasing a blanket from them. Does it wash well? Is it more Flannel like?
I would appreciate anything else you can tell me. 🙂
Hi there! It is not flannel like at all. The fabric washes beautifully. I am really impressed with the quality. Hope that helps! 🙂
