Two years ago, my family headed on a cross country trip in the mini-van and I searched for practical solutions to keep kids comfortable and safe while sleeping in car seats. We settled for neck pillows, which helped, but had many drawbacks. I wish I’d read a Cardiff Travel Headrest review beforehand because this clever product is a game-changer for keeping kids comfortable when traveling.
Ella traveled with me to Chicago this past weekend and tested our Cardiff Travel Headrest. She is eight an currently uses a booster seat with no back. Ella is not a big fan of
uncomfortable extended car rides, so she eagerly became our first tester, much to her younger brother’s chagrin.
I went to install the headrest, made of only 4 parts, thinking installation would be simple. While installation is easy in theory, I struggled to snap the arm into the base and had to ask my husband for assistance. Once installed, the product is easy to use, but you might want to consult this installation video first.
With the headrest installed, Ella climbed into her seat to adjust and test out her new gadget. She was immediately impressed, telling me how this would keep her head from bobbing forward or to the side if she fell asleep. Once we got on the road, Ella soon discovered the headrest provided comfort while awake as well. She leaned on it while reading or watching a show and didn’t need to angle her body in odd ways to find a comfortable position. The Cardiff Travel Headrest definitely improved her road trip experience.
