Newborn diapers should be super absorbent and super easy to use. There is a learning curve starting out…
It’s important to me that a newborn diaper fits snugly without a lot of bulk. This is the main reason I invested in a small newborn stash, instead of trying to make one-size diapers work from the beginning.
I really like for my cloth to have double leg gussets or AT LEAST a nice fit in the elastic around the legs.
I like the cord snap down feature and that it’s small enough to accompany there little body.
Double leg gussets and absorbency are important to me.
Newborn diapers should be trim but absorbent. ALSO they really should have an umbilical notch or snap-down feature.
I like newborn diapers with aplix, it ensures you get a good fit without fussing with snaps too much.
I would want the NB diapers to have double leg gussets and great absorbency.
Newborn diaper must have a way to work around an umbilical cord and absorb quickly. I didn’t cloth diaper until she fit into the one-size but have heard bad reviews about ones that do not have these features.
This sounds like a great diaper
It must be absorbent while not fitting ridiculously huge!
Absorbency. Some of the ones we used for our first did not hold up! Hopefully next time will be better!
I haven’t used newborn diapers yet, but a trim design or ai2 system that lets you fit a lot into the diaper bag seems like it would be important! 🙂
Ease of use is obviously so important, as you’re adjusting to life with a new baby!
Must have feature is hook and loop closures!
Btw, Tushmate’s facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/TushMateClothDiaper. The link in the giveaway wasn’t working and it was also labeled “picturekeeper” as well as their pinterest page.
How odd! Must be a glitch in the form. I will fix ASAP.
Oh, good. The links were correct, but the labels problematic. Thanks for the heads up!
Sure, thanks for the giveaway!
Fits to 12 weeks
Newborn diapers need to be easy to clean and quick to dry. Newborns need so many diaper changes that I can’t spend a long time laundering each one.
Need ot be able to absorb lots of messes!
Newborn diapers should fit well, no extra bulkiness but be absorbent also.
A newborn diaper should not be too bulky and should fit well around little newborn legs.
For our family it is important that a newborn diaper be easy to use & comfortable for baby.
We didn’t cloth our first baby until he was about a month because I didn’t think it would take that long to fit into one size! We plan on cloth for our next one this summer right away, and a feature I think is a must have is a good fit around the legs!
I want my newborn diapers to be easy to use and preferably trim. We’re hoping to start as soon as we’re back from the hospital when LO is born this summer!
Good fit and prevention of blowouts will be what I think matters most to me.
I am not sure, as I didn’t use newborn diapers with my first baby. I guess fit would be most important because that would be the whole point of getting newborn ones as opposed to one size. Maybe I will get to try some out on baby #2!
I think it is important to have an umbilical cord notch for the earliest days.
We look for diapers that will get teeny tiny around the legs because ours has really small legs
washes and dries well!
Absorbency and a snug fit
Newborn must-have feature – snug but cozy fit!
Double gussets in newborns are a must for me.
A trim fit is a must!
Newborn diapers have to fit a skinny leg without leaks, but then be able to accommodate the (hopefully) chunky growth.
Absorbancy and snugness around legs.
Double gussets, gotta keep that ebf poop in! 🙂
Snap down front, stretchy but soft leg elastic. Soft and absorbant inner.
I really like a diaper that fits snuggly and isn’t huge on a newborn baby. I really like for it to have double gussets as well
Absorbency is a big deal for me. The majority of AIO newborn diapers I tried did not have nearly enough absorbency for my heavy wetters.
My baby hasn’t arrived yet so I don’t have much to base my opinion on… but for me the important features were: affordability, ease of use, and that the part in the front doesn’t irritate the umbilical stump.
It is all about small leg holes on newborn diapers!
Really absorbent so they last longer than a few weeks and ability to snap under umbilical stump.
A good fit on a nb dipe is super important! I need to contain the poop!
Newborn diapers should be easy enough for daddy to use!
I just started cloth diapers on my 13 month old son. Why did I not start sooner! We want to try for our second child soon so newborn cloths would be fantastic to add to our one sizes!
a good fit and a good weight limit. i dont want to buy a million diapers!
I’d like one that actually grows a little bit with the baby and can be wore more than 2 or 3 weeks.
I look for cord snap down and a good fit! Having a newborn is hard enough, I want a good diaper that won’t create additional work!
I need absorbency in my newborn diapers! All that pee/newborn poop needs to stay in!
i really like my newborn covers to be double-gussetted!
Newborn cloth diapers must be EASY. Complicated just doesn’t work when you are sleep deprived!
The ability to contain EBF poo!
A newborn diaper should be hook and loop (leave the snaps to older kids), trim and have an umbilical cord notch
I cloth diapered my first but never tried any newborn sized dopes. This tush mate seems like a nice one though!
Trim and double leg gussets !
Newborn diapers need to have the umbilical cord cutout and be easy to use!
Not crazy huge but still leak proof
I really liked having an umbilical cord cut out on my newborn diapers. That thing intimidated me!
Hook and loops, absorbency and trimness
A super-trim, but super absorbent fit.
