Then and Now Family Photos

Three years ago, a local photographer shot some of my favorite family photos at a city park. I’ve mean to take “official” family photos again over the years, but we simply haven’t. I decided it was time to do something about our gap in family photos recently and scheduled a session with the same photographer in another park. Taking photos of my family is like herding cats, but she did such an amazing job capturing our personalities.

I love outdoor photos and natural poses, along with the freedom from studio backgrounds. I thought it would be fun to share our family photos from 2012 and 2015, especially for blog friends who’ve been with us from the journey of a family of 3 to a family of 6!Look how she’s grown! These photos are ages 6 and 9.

Our newest addition just turned 1 this week. He refused to nap all day and was not interested in smiling for the camera.

Once I get over my self-consciousness about the way I look in these photos, I love them. They just say “family” to me.
