Sometimes I put a cloth diaper company in a box. They create one style of diaper that excels and the company’s name becomes synonymous for that style. When it comes to Bummis, I think fabulous, absorbent, adorable fitteds and covers. Our stash includes Bummis Flannel Fitteds, Dimple Diapers, and Waterproof Covers. This also means I generally use Bummis for overnight, but not in my daytime rotation. Until now. Bummis recently sent me their All-in-One (AIO) diaper and the Bummis AIO shares many of the features I love about Bummis covers and fitteds – stretchy, leak proof, and comfortable.
Sebastian is now two years old and he is very particular about patterns. I’ve taken to holding up two diaper options for him because he will try to go through the whole diaper stash to pick a pattern to wear. When Bummis invited us to do a review, I decided to show him the Bummis AIO pattern and color options and let him choose. I loved the color combinations that make up the Watermelon, the retro feel of the Vinyl Records, and the unique Russian Dolls. Sebastian loved the colors and shapes of vinyl records and we had our review selection.
Made and Sourced in Canada
The 14 fun colors and patterns of the Bummis AIO use fabrics sourced in Canada and the USA. The fabrics are free of lead, phthalates and BPA, which is important for many cloth diapering families.
Easy AIO Design
This diaper is designed to work as easily as a disposable diaper. No stuffing, insert snapping, or covers required. This is my main reason for primarily using AIOs for daytime. I’m a mom of four and attending graduate school – I want diapering to be no fuss from washing, to wearing, to changing.
Stay Dry and Organic Cotton Options
The Bummis AIO essentially has the insert sewn into the diaper, with an optional pocket for extra absorbency. If you tuck the insert inside the pocket, organic cotton stays against baby’s skin. If you prefer a stay-dry option, simply fold over the insert. This makes for a very versatile, comfortable diaper for diverse families.
Gussets, Gussets, Gussets
In my experience, gussets are the answer to many cloth diaper leaks. They are often the final frontier that keeps poop inside. Disposable diapers don’t have effect gussets, in my opinion, and they don’t have a secure enough fit. The organic cotton interior is designed to shrink naturally during the first few washes, creating a natural gusset.
Snug Fit
The Bummis AIO is designed to fit babies 8 to 35 lbs, which is a great weight range and will last many babies into potty training. It includes four rise snaps to create a snug fit on babies of all sizes. The waist snaps include two rows, so you can ensure a close, individualized fit. The soft elastics at the legs and back help keep leaks in and prevent dreaded blowouts.
Value
This is a higher end price range for an AIO at $28.95. This cost takes into account the inclusion of organic cotton and products made and sourced in Canada.

Overall Experience
The Bummis AIO offers the quality, fit, and design I’ve come to expect from the company. I would love to add a few more adorable patterns to our stash!
