is Grandma Cathy!
Grandma arrived last Wednesday amidst some tricky freezing rain. Thank goodness for Daddy who handled the drive home from St. Louis (a 2 hour drive that stretched to 3-3 1/2) with expert patience! Anticipation for Grandma’s arrival has been building at our home for at least a month. Ella talked about it daily, trying to understand how long until Grandma got on that plane and how long she’d be with us. She heard 2 weeks as “2 years,” but that’s just semantics.
When people hear my mom is in town, they always say something like “That’s great! How long?” When I say 2 weeks, the next query is always “Is that good?” Yes! Yes! We’ll take her for as long as she wants to stay. Grandma’s visit is definitely the highlight of our Christmas this year. As you can see…
Now that Ezra’s a big boy, he loves hanging with Grandma.
She gives the best kisses.
She’s terrific for sitting on
and giving tickles.
She makes holiday sugar cookies with us
plus tons of other treats too!
She thinks the things we say are cute.
And she is very patient.
We like to do everything together.
She brings pretty dresses and bows.
We get fancy for church together.
She sits while we aim for a “perfect” photo.
She even brings new dress clothes for big boys.
She reads book after book with us.
We learn how to “decorate” cookies, even when we’re fussy and stubborn about it.
Is this the right amount of sprinkles?
It doesn’t get better than this.
This is happy kids at Christmas!
And we still have a week together!
Priceless. I’m so glad you guys are having such a great visit. Grandmas are magical to kids!!
awww how sweet 🙂 Merry Christmas
Love those pictures of the three girls!
Very sweet! How lucky for you and your kids to get Grandma for Christmas!
