We just bought a beautiful new home built around 1915. While I like many of the historic and even retro features of the home, this wallpaper just isn’t my style. My daughter, and some friends, think it’s classic. What say you? Yes or No to Floral Wallpaper?

Be sure to tell me why you say “Yay” or “Nay in the comments, please!
Here are some alternative wallpaper ideas I have:
Faux Grasscloth. The main rooms in our house have this and it looks very classic.

We could go Retro Arthouse.

I think the map is too dark for the entryway. You need clean and/or BRIGHT!
I voted no because the wallpaper (with all its vintage charm) just looks too “busy,” especially in that open space. Wallpaper also limits you when it comes to the rest of the room (furniture, wall hangings, accents, etc), as opposed to a solid color.
I like the Faux Grasscloth you shared because it is neutral and breezy.
I would go with faux grass or maybe retro atrsy but that depends on how it fits in with your furnishings. I love old homes. Congratulations
If the floral wallpaper isn’t your style, I say ditch it! I think the Faux Grasscloth and Vintage Map both work nicely with this older style of home.
